A futuristic shaded pergola,

for both size and technology.

A unique project created for this important seaside villa outside Rome.

The client’s request, in fact, was for two perfectly flat shaded pergola (which normally feature a 15% inclination), despite the large size: one of no less than 60 square meters on a terrace overlooking the sea; the other of 25 square metres by the pool.

Careful planning and an accurate choice of materials have allowed not only to meet the demand, but to create a light and elegant shaded pergola.

In fact, to ensure that rainwater runs off, the pergola is fitted with sensors and motors that automatically tilt the roof when it rains.

Moreover, thanks to the steel frame, it was possible to reduce the perimeter support strip to just 8 centimetres in thickness, which normally, in flat canopies, is as much as 30 centimetres.

The result is a shaded pergola with a low aesthetic impact - which blends in perfectly with the minimal style of the villa - but is also functional, robust and easy to operate (it opens and closes electrically).
